The Outreach agent helps you build backlinks and brand mentions through automated discovery and personalized outreach campaigns. Brand mentions are the #1 factor to get your brand or products recommended by AI chatbots like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Claude.

Configuration options

Configure your Outreach agent with these settings:

Company name

Your company name as it should appear in outreach emails. Default: Your workspace name

Company description

A brief description of what your company does. This helps generate relevant, personalized outreach messages.

Example: "ConvertMate helps marketing teams automate their SEO and content workflows with intelligent agents."

Brand tone

The tone and style for your outreach communications. Default: professional

Examples: professional, friendly, conversational, casual, expert

Products/services to promote

Key products or services you want to highlight in your outreach. Helps generate more relevant pitches.

Example: "SEO automation platform, content optimization tools, link building automation"

Target audience

Your ideal customers or the audience you want to reach through link building.

Example: "E-commerce marketing managers, SaaS marketers, content teams at mid-size companies"

Offer paid opportunities

Enable this to mention paid collaboration opportunities (sponsored content, paid links) in your outreach emails. Default: disabled

Note: Only enable if you're prepared to pay for link placements. This affects how your emails are written.

Credit costs

Outreach campaigns use a credit-based system:

  • Topic generation: 5 credits per discovery
  • Source discovery: 10 credits per source found
  • Contact enrichment: Included at no extra cost
  • Email generation: Included at no extra cost

Examples

  • Discovery with 10 sources: 5 + (10 × 10) = 105 credits
  • Discovery with 25 sources: 5 + (25 × 10) = 255 credits
  • Discovery with 50 sources: 5 + (50 × 10) = 505 credits

How to use

Starting a new discovery

  1. Go to AI Agents > Outreach
  2. Click New discovery
  3. Choose your campaign objective:

- Brand mentions: Get your brand mentioned on relevant websites - Specific page: Promote a specific page (product, service, or article)

  1. Enter your target:

- For brand mentions: Your domain (e.g., yoursite.com) - For specific page: The full URL of the page you want to promote

  1. Select your target language
  2. Click Start discovery

Selecting topics

After discovery starts, the agent generates relevant outreach topics:

  1. Review the generated topics
  2. Select 1-5 topics that fit your outreach goals
  3. Topics are angle suggestions for why websites might want to link to you
  4. Click Continue to proceed

Discovering sources

The agent then finds relevant websites for your selected topics:

  1. Wait for the discovery to complete (usually 1-2 minutes per topic)
  2. Review the discovered websites
  3. Check each website's relevance and domain authority
  4. Remove any websites that aren't a good fit
  5. Click Find contacts to proceed

Finding contacts

The agent searches for the right contacts at each website:

  1. Contact finding runs automatically for selected sources
  2. The agent looks for editors, content managers, and site owners
  3. Email addresses are verified before being added
  4. Review found contacts and their roles
  5. Remove contacts that aren't relevant

Generating email sequences

Generate personalized emails for your prospects:

  1. Select the contacts you want to reach out to
  2. Click Generate emails
  3. The agent creates a 3-email sequence for each contact:

- Email 1: Introduction with your pitch - Email 2: Brief follow-up with a new angle - Email 3: Polite breakup email

  1. Review and edit emails as needed
  2. Approve emails for sending

Launching your campaign

Once emails are approved:

  1. Review your campaign summary
  2. Verify all contacts and emails are correct
  3. Click Launch campaign
  4. Emails are sent automatically with proper timing between follow-ups
  5. Track opens, replies, and conversions in your dashboard

How it works:

  • The agent analyzes your target page content
