Managing your account details

Update your personal information, change password, and configure notification preferences

Your account details include personal information, security settings, and notification preferences. You can update these settings anytime to keep your account secure and personalized.

Accessing your details

To manage your account:

  1. Click Settings in the left sidebar
  2. Select My details from the menu
  3. You'll see tabs for Profile, Security, and Preferences
Update your details

Profile information

Your profile includes:

Basic information:
  • First name
  • Last name
  • Email address
  • Phone number (optional)
Professional details:
  • Company name
  • Job title
  • Industry
Business context:
  • Business type (e-commerce, SaaS, agency, etc.)
  • Monthly revenue range
  • Team size
Profile settings:
  • Profile photo
  • Timezone
  • Language preference

This information helps ConvertMate provide relevant recommendations and context-aware AI suggestions.

Updating profile information

To change your details:

  1. Go to Settings → My details → Profile tab
  2. Click Edit next to any section
  3. Make your changes
  4. Click Save changes
Email address: Your email is your login credential. Changing it requires verifying the new address. You'll receive a confirmation email at the new address. Timezone: This affects when scheduled workflows run and how timestamps display. Choose the timezone where you primarily work. Language: Controls the interface language. English is currently the only fully supported language.

Changes take effect immediately after saving.

Authentication methods

ConvertMate supports multiple ways to sign in to your account:

Email and password:
  • Traditional authentication method
  • Set your own password during registration
  • Can reset password if forgotten
Sign in with Google:
  • Use your Google account to sign in
  • No password required
  • Faster and more secure
  • Available during registration or can be linked later

If you signed up with Google, you may not have a password set. You can add one as a backup authentication method.

Changing your password

To update your password:

  1. Go to Settings → My details → Security tab
  2. Click Change password
  3. Enter your current password
  4. Enter your new password
  5. Confirm your new password
  6. Click Update password
Password requirements:
  • Minimum 8 characters
  • At least one letter
  • At least one number
  • Can include special characters for extra security
Password tips:
  • Use a unique password you don't use elsewhere
  • Consider a password manager
  • Avoid common words or patterns
  • Include a mix of upper and lower case letters

If you forget your current password, use the "Forgot password" link on the login page instead.

Adding a password (for Google Sign In users)

If you signed up with Google and want to add a password as a backup authentication method:

  1. Go to Settings → My details → Security tab
  2. Click Add password
  3. Enter your new password
  4. Confirm your new password
  5. Click Create password

You can now sign in using either Google or email and password.

Linking your Google account

If you have an email and password account and want to add Google Sign In:

  1. Visit the login page at https://app.convertmate.io/login
  2. Click Sign in with Google
  3. Choose the Google account that matches your ConvertMate email address
  4. Authorize ConvertMate to access your Google profile

Your Google account will be linked to your existing account. You can now use either method to sign in.

Notification preferences

Control how ConvertMate communicates with you:

Email notifications

Execution notifications:
  • Agent completion alerts
  • Execution failure notices
  • Long-running execution status
Credit alerts:
  • Low credit balance warnings
  • Credit package promotions
  • Monthly usage summaries
Workspace updates:
  • Team member activity
  • Invitation responses
  • Role changes
Product updates:
  • New features and agents
  • Platform improvements
  • Educational content
Marketing emails:
  • Tips and best practices
  • Webinar invitations
  • Case studies and success stories

Toggle each category on or off based on what you want to receive.

In-app notifications

Real-time alerts:
  • Execution completions
  • Team mentions
  • Urgent issues
Daily digest:
  • Summarize multiple notifications into one daily email instead of individual alerts
Notification sound:
  • Play sound for important notifications
Desktop notifications:
  • Show browser notifications even when ConvertMate isn't open (requires browser permission)

Configure these in the Preferences tab.

Account security

Beyond passwords, secure your account with:

Two-factor authentication (2FA)

Add an extra security layer:

  1. Go to Security tab
  2. Click Enable 2FA
  3. Scan QR code with authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, etc.)
  4. Enter verification code
  5. Save backup codes in a safe place

After enabling, you'll need both your password and a time-based code from your authenticator app to log in.

Backup codes: When you enable 2FA, you receive backup codes. Store these securely. They let you log in if you lose access to your authenticator app.

Session management

View and manage active login sessions:

Active sessions show:
  • Device type (desktop, mobile, tablet)
  • Browser and operating system
  • Location (approximate)
  • Last active time
Actions:
  • Sign out individual sessions
  • Sign out all other sessions (keeps your current session)
  • View session history

Use this to:

  • Check for unauthorized access
  • Sign out of devices you no longer use
  • Verify only your devices have access

Login history

Review past login attempts:

Log includes:
  • Successful logins
  • Failed login attempts
  • Password changes
  • Two-factor authentications
Use this to detect:
  • Unusual login patterns
  • Failed password attempts (potential security threats)
  • Login from unexpected locations

If you see suspicious activity, change your password immediately and enable 2FA.

Data and privacy

Control your data:

Data export

Download your account data:

  1. Go to Privacy tab
  2. Click Export data
  3. Choose what to include:

- Profile information - Execution history - Generated content - Analytics data

  1. Click Request export

You'll receive a download link within 24 hours. The export includes all your data in JSON and CSV formats.

Data deletion

To permanently delete specific data:

Execution history - Remove old execution records individually from Past executions page. Generated content - Delete drafts or published content from Content Hub. Platform connections - Disconnect platforms to stop data syncing.

Deleted data cannot be recovered.

Account deletion

To close your account entirely:

  1. Go to Privacy tab
  2. Scroll to Delete account
  3. Review what will be deleted
  4. Click Delete my account
  5. Confirm by entering your password
  6. Account and all data are permanently deleted within 30 days
Before deleting:
  • Export any data you want to keep
  • Cancel your subscription to stop future charges
  • Inform team members if you're the workspace owner
  • Consider transferring workspace ownership instead of deleting

Account deletion cannot be undone.

Workspace vs. personal settings

Your personal settings (password, preferences) are separate from workspace settings (billing, team):

Personal settings (My details):
  • Your name and contact info
  • Your password and security
  • Your notification preferences
  • Your timezone and language
Workspace settings (Workspace & team):
  • Workspace name
  • Team members and roles
  • Billing and subscriptions
  • Platform connections

Changes to your personal settings don't affect other team members.

Profile photo

To add or change your profile photo:

  1. Go to Profile tab
  2. Click Change photo
  3. Upload an image (JPG or PNG, max 5MB)
  4. Crop and position
  5. Save

Your photo appears:

  • In the top navigation
  • In team member lists
  • On comments and activity logs
  • In shared content

Use a professional photo for business workspaces or a brand logo for agency accounts.

Troubleshooting

Can't receive emails

  • Check spam/junk folder
  • Verify email address is correct
  • Check notification settings aren't all disabled
  • Ensure your email provider isn't blocking ConvertMate
  • Try adding noreply@convertmate.io to contacts

Two-factor authentication issues

  • Verify time on your device is accurate (authenticator codes are time-sensitive)
  • Try entering the next code that appears after current one expires
  • Use backup codes if you lost authenticator access
  • Contact support to disable 2FA if you're completely locked out

Can't change password

  • Ensure current password is correct
  • Check new password meets requirements (8+ chars, letter, number)
  • Try a different browser
  • Clear browser cache and cookies
  • Contact support if issue persists

Profile changes don't save

  • Check internet connection
  • Verify you clicked "Save changes"
  • Try refreshing the page
  • Use a different browser
  • Check browser console for errors
