AI agents are autonomous tools that handle specific marketing tasks for you. Think of them as specialists on your team—each one knows how to do a particular job well, and they work around the clock without needing constant supervision.
How agents work
When you run an agent, it follows a structured process to complete its task:
- You configure it - Tell the agent what you want it to do by setting parameters like which products to optimize or what tone to use
- Agent analyzes - The AI examines your data, market trends, and best practices to understand what needs to be done
- Agent executes - Depending on the agent, it either makes changes directly or provides recommendations for you to review
- You review results - Check what the agent did and decide whether to apply recommendations or adjust settings for next time
Most agents complete their work in 2-10 minutes, though some complex analyses can take longer.
Understanding credit costs
Every agent execution costs credits. The cost depends on the complexity of the task and how much data the agent processes.
Some agents cost 50 credits to analyze a few pages. Others might cost 500 credits to optimize your entire product catalog. The exact cost is always shown before you run an agent, so there are no surprises.
Your plan includes a monthly credit allocation:
- Free plan: 100 credits/month
- Starter plan: 300 credits/month
- Growth plan: 1,200 credits/month
- Business plan: 5,000 credits/month

Configuring agents
Most agents let you customize how they work. Common settings include:
Target scope - Which products, pages, or content to work with. You might run an agent on a few test products first, then expand to your entire catalog. Brand voice and tone - How the agent should write. You can specify whether you want professional, casual, technical, or friendly language. Frequency - How often to run the agent automatically. Some teams run agents weekly, others prefer to trigger them manually. Notification preferences - Whether you want email alerts when agents complete, or just notifications in the app.Not every agent has all these settings. The configuration screen shows exactly what you need to provide for each agent.
Reviewing agent output
After an agent finishes, you can review its work before applying any changes.
Go to AI Agents → Past executions to see:
- What the agent did or recommended
- How many items it processed
- How many credits it used
- When it ran and how long it took
- Any errors or warnings
For agents that make recommendations, you'll see before and after comparisons so you can evaluate the changes before applying them.
View your execution historyAgent requirements
Different agents require different platform connections. For example:
- Content optimization agents need your e-commerce platform (Shopify, WooCommerce, etc.)
- SEO analysis agents need Google Search Console
- Traffic analysis agents need Google Analytics 4
The agent details page always shows which connections are required. If you're missing a connection, you'll see a clear message with instructions to connect it.
Connect your platformsRunning agents automatically
Once you're comfortable with an agent's output, you can set it to run automatically on a schedule. This is useful for:
- Weekly content audits
- Daily AI presence monitoring
- Monthly competitor analysis
- Seasonal content calendar updates
You configure automation settings for each agent individually, so you control exactly which agents run automatically and when.
Best practices
Start small - Run agents on a subset of your data first (like 5-10 products) to see how they perform before scaling up. Review before applying - Always check recommendations before applying them to your live site, especially for content changes. Monitor credit usage - Keep an eye on your credit balance to avoid running out mid-month. You can view usage at any time in Settings → Credit usage. Iterate on settings - If an agent's output isn't quite right, adjust the configuration and run it again. Most agents improve with a bit of fine-tuning. Use execution history - Review past executions to understand which agents provide the most value for your business. What's next
