What is outreach?

Outreach helps you find websites that could mention your brand or link to your content, then generates personalized email sequences to reach out to the right contacts. It streamlines the traditionally time-consuming process of link building.

How outreach works

The outreach process follows these main steps:

1. Create a discovery - Use the 6-step wizard to define what you're looking for, select relevant topics, and set your budget
2. Review discovered sources - ConvertMate searches for articles and pages matching your topics, returning a list of potential opportunities
3. Find contacts - For each source, the system identifies the best person to contact (authors, content managers, or editors)
4. Generate personalized emails - Create a 3-email sequence tailored to each recipient and their content

Each step builds on the previous one, giving you control over which opportunities to pursue.

Two types of outreach objectives

When creating a discovery, you choose between two objectives:

Brand mentions

Find articles where your brand could be included alongside competitors or in listicles. This works well for:

• "Best tools" lists
• Comparison articles
• Industry roundups
• Resource pages

Specific page backlinks

Find articles where linking to a specific page on your site would add value. This works well for:

• Ultimate guides or resources
• Research or data pages
• Tool pages
• Educational content

Credits and pricing

Outreach uses credits at different stages:

• Topic generation - 5 credits (one time per discovery)
• Source discovery - 5 credits per source
• Email generation - 10 credits per source
• Adding to campaigns - Free
